After two preview screenings of Warren Miller's 63rd movie, Flow State, in Oxford and Bristol, the UK Tour finally got underway with a fantastic London Premiere at the Vue West End last Thursday. With the red carpet rolled and the Asahi beers chilling on ice, we were ready to welcome ski and snowboard fans from all walks of life, all united by their love of winter!
Following the drinks reception in the bar, stoked Warren Miller fans headed into the cinema for their first glimpse of Flow State. Each ticket-holder collected their goody bag from their seat, including their new Nissan Navara ski lock and their Ski Heavenly snowball - safe to say the snowballs lasted just seconds before they were lobbed at the evening's host! Then came time for the main event - the powder, the groomed corduroy slopes, the freestyle tricks and slips and hard-earned first tracks from Japan to Switzerland. Laughs and gasps from the 400-strong crowd confirmed that this year's Warren Miller movie does not disappoint.
A quick intermission saw the legendary Warren Miller Tour prize draw take place with Mizuno base-layers, SkiSet ski hire, a case of Asahi beer, Snow+Rock store vouchers and a fantastic pair of World Cup skis amongst the prizes. Warren Miller tshirts and DVDs also went to those who could make the most noise, which spread the usual chaos amongst the crowd! Then it was time to sit back and relax for the second half of Flow State - getting us well and truly stoked for the season ahead.
But the fun doesn't stop there! If you missed the London Premiere, the Tour will be back in Fulham (26th Nov), Shepherds Bush (6th Dec) and the Vue West End (12th and 13th December), so grab your tickets quick to be sure you don't miss out! And don't forget all the other Tour dates across the UK, which continues from 26th November.
